Université de Lorraine in France and Ulster University in Northern Ireland took the honours during the MEDEA Awards ceremony which was part of the Media & Learning Conference. The other finalists who took part were Mandoulides Schools in Greece, Leiden University in the Netherlands, Migration Matters in Germany and the National Archives in the UK.

Over 200 people from 23 different countries have now registered for the Media & Learning conference which will take place in Leuven, Belgium on 14-15 June. 2 pre-conference visits are open to participants on 13 June, the first to visit Leuven Institute for Media and Learning (LIMEL) where KU Leuven educators and students find everything they need to produce high quality videos and the second to visit Health House, a showcase location for innovation and cutting-edge technology in the medical domain including medical imaging and image processing, AR/VR, 3D and virtual patients.
The organisers of the annual MEDEA Awards are delighted to announce the 6 finalists for the 2018 Annual MEDEA Awards in the user-generated and professionally-produced categories.The finalists (in alphabetical order) are:•  Learning History by Mandoulides Schools (Greece)•  Mission Offi'Sim by Université de Lorraine (France)•  On Being a Scientist by Leiden University (Netherlands)•  Rethinking 'Us' & 'Them': Integration and Diversity in Europe by Migration Matters e.V.

We are delighted to welcome Pädagogische Hochschule Oberösterreich/University of Education Upper Austria as the latest organisation to join our association. The University of Education Upper Austria is the second largest teacher training university college in Austria and accommodates the Austrian National Centre for E-Education.

With just under 2 months to go, the organisers are putting the final touches to the agenda and looking forward to welcoming the many people from 21 countries who have already registered for the Video in Higher Education Conference.

The agenda for this year's conference taking place on 14-15 June in Leuven, Belgium is now online and includes a mix of talks, demos and discussions with leading practitioners, service providers and researchers from Europe and beyond. The Media & Learning Association is delighted to announce that it is a partner in the recently launched Entrance to Future Education EFE project. EFE is a two year project involving universities and organisations in Latvia, Poland and Belgium supported by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme. The main aim of the project is to develop and promote innovative methods and approaches to teaching in higher education institutions. The launch of the project took place in February 2018 in Riga, Latvia with the first meeting of the partners.

The association is delighted to announce that Echo360 have joined as a sponsoring member and will be  a Silver Sponsor of this year’s Media & Learning Video in Higher Education Conference taking place on 14-15 June in Leuven, Belgium. The organisers of the MEDEA Awards are delighted to announce that entries for this year’s competition can now be submitted. You can submit your entry for one of the two main awards; the MEDEA Award for Professionally Produced Educational Media or the MEDEA Award for User-Generated Educational Media. The deadline for submission is 28 February 2018. Judging by the MEDEA Awards international jury will take place in March and April.
